Enriching Our Community

The Friends of Calais (FOC) was established in 2020 with the aim of expanding the scope of enrichment activities and programs to better serve and connect the broader Calais community. Previously known as the Calais Elementary Parent Teacher Neighbor Organization (PTNO), an organization that primarily focused on activities for Calais Elementary School children and their families.

The Friends of Calais is a volunteer-led organization, collaborating to design fun, engaging events and programs intended to foster closer bonds within the Calais community. 

In the fall of 2023, the Friends of Calais initiated a community survey to gather feedback on how to further our mission with your feedback. We received responses from one hundred and seven community members, which have since guided the development of activities and programs based on the survey results.Our aim is to attract more members of the community to contribute their knowledge and experiences, aiding in the advancement and implementation of community initiatives.

The mission of the Friends of Calais is to organize for the purpose of enriching the community of Calais, Vermont. We invite you to join us in our endeavors!
